The President of Sudan, Omar al Bashir, during his two-day visit in Egypt that will begin on Sunday, will meet for the first time his Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Morsi.
The announcement has been made by the director of Khartoum government’s press office, Imad Sidahmed who , in a statement at press agency Suna, confirmed the news of a meeting between the two leaders.
Purpose of the meeting between Bashir and Morsi will be the definition of future business relations and the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, both conscious of their weight on international scene, especially as regards the extraction and export of gas and oil.
In fact, while Egypt owns huge gas stocks, which provide to Israel much of its gas supply, Sudan has the full control over pipelines that carry in north direction oil extracted in South Sudan.
For this reason Bashir, during his visit, will be accompanied by the director of National Intelligence Security Services (Niss), by an entourage of seven ministers and also by the supervisor for large investments.
